Why Become a Divemaster?
This course is not like the other courses you have taken before. You, the student, will advance your skills as a student and step into that role of becoming a dive professional. You set the speed for how soon you want to complete this course. (Weather promoting) You as the divemaster will be responsible for supervising diving actives as well as helping out scuba diving classes.
Prerequisites:
- Have to be 18 years or older
- Must have completed Advanced Open Water
- Must have completed Rescue
- Must have 40 logged dives before the start of the course
- Must have a Primary & Secondary Care (CPR, AED, & First Aid) certification done in the past 24 months
- Must be able to have the Medical Documents signed by a doctor or physician
Cost
The PADI Divemaster Course is $815 and includes:
- Divemaster slates
- PADI Instructor Manual
- The Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving - a comprehensive overview of diving physics, physiology, and equipment
- Skill demonstration videos
- Use of eRDPml
- DSD Cue Cards
- PADI Pro Bag
- PADI Divemaster Application package
There are other required materials that a Divemaster candidate will need but may have received them during other PADI programs so they have not been included in the Divemaster Crew-Pak. Please ask your PADI Instructor for the full list of required materials that you will need for the program.
